4J36(Invar 36) Nut
The nut is a fastener with internal threads and used in conjunction with a screw for mechanical parts for movement or power.
BDF can offer all kinds of hot forged and cold formed nuts such as hexagon nuts, heavy hex nuts, hexagon coupling nuts, hexagon thin nuts, hexagon castle nuts, self locking nuts, hexagon domed cap nuts and other non-standard nuts according to customer drawings. The size ranges from M6-M100 in METRIC and 3/8” to 3-1/2” in INCH.
4J36 is a special low-expansion iron-nickel alloy with an ultra-low coefficient of expansion. Which is very important for the control of carbon and manganese components. Cold deformation can reduce the coefficient of thermal expansion, heat treatment in a specific temperature range can make the thermal expansion coefficient stabilized. At room temperature in dry air 4J36 has corrosion resistance. In other harsh environments, such as humid air, there may be corrosion (rust).
Invar 36 is useful for applications where high dimensional stability is required such as standards of length, precision optical and laser system, cryogenic components. It is also used in conjunction with high expansion alloys in applications in bimetallic thermostats.
